About
What NotiTrac is.
An iPhone app for the Fitbit Air, made by one person, that does two things: it gives the Air a buzz for calls and for the apps you choose, and it shows the Air's figures in a quiet view. Nothing else.
Why it exists
The Fitbit Air is a lovely tracker that ignores your phone on purpose. Most of the time that's the point. Some of the time you'd like to know your phone is ringing while it's in a coat on the other side of the room. NotiTrac was built to solve that one problem for its maker, and then finished so other people could use it.
What it does
- Calls buzz your Air until you answer. Free.
- The apps you choose get one short buzz, with bursts folded, quiet hours and spacing. NotiTrac Pro.
- A silent wake alarm and Find my Air. NotiTrac Pro.
- Your Air's figures, read from what Google Health shares with Apple Health, only your tracker's and never your phone's.
How it's built
No account, no server, no analytics. NotiTrac talks to your Air over Bluetooth to buzz it, reads Apple Health on the phone, and keeps everything on the phone. Pro is a single App Store purchase, never a subscription. The privacy policy is short because there is little to say.
What it isn't
Not made by Google or Fitbit, and not a replacement for Google Health, which still sets up and syncs the tracker. Not a medical device. Not a way to read messages on a screen the Air doesn't have. The guides are honest about all of that.
