How can I help?
Answers to the questions people actually ask, and a real person at the other end of the email.
Write to me
NotiTrac is made by one person. Every message is read by me, not a bot, and I answer in the order they arrive. Email ksleikus@gmail.com.
What helps me help you faster: your iPhone model and iOS version, what you expected and what happened instead, and, for a missing buzz, the Test log from NotiTrac. Open the Air page in the app, tap Test log, then Share. It contains times and technical status only, never your health figures or notification text.
My Air doesn't buzz
Start with a test buzz in the app with your Air nearby and Bluetooth on. If that fails, it is the connection. If the test works but alerts don't, it is the Shortcuts automation.
- Test buzz fails. Check Bluetooth is on and NotiTrac is allowed to use it, the right Air is selected, and the tracker is charged and close. If Google Health is syncing at that moment, let it finish and try again.
- Test works, alerts don't. In the Shortcuts app, check the automation is on, includes the app you want, runs Buzz My Air, and runs immediately without asking. Then check NotiTrac's quiet hours and spacing settings; several messages in a row are meant to give one buzz.
- Only works unlocked. Open NotiTrac once after restarting the phone, and don't force-quit it. iOS decides when background work runs.
The full walkthrough is in the Fitbit Air notification setup and troubleshooting guide.
Setting up
The in-app guide takes you through it: pick your Air, try a test buzz, then make one Shortcuts automation per app you want on your wrist. Calls are free and need the call setup shown in the app. Which notification triggers Shortcuts offers depends on your iOS version.
NotiTrac Pro, restores and refunds
Pro is a single purchase through the App Store, not a subscription, and it carries across iPhones signed in with the same Apple ID.
- Pro missing after reinstalling or a new phone: open the Pro screen in NotiTrac and tap Restore purchases.
- Pending or failed purchase: the App Store sometimes needs a minute. Open NotiTrac again; it re-checks every time it comes to the front.
- Refunds: Apple handles them, not me. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the NotiTrac Pro purchase. After a refund, Pro turns off at the next launch.
Figures look wrong or empty
NotiTrac shows only what your Fitbit Air measured and Google Health shared to Apple Health. A dash means Google Health hasn't written that figure yet, not that something broke.
- Everything is a dash: turn on sharing in Google Health: your picture, then Partner apps, then Apple Health. Then open Google Health once so it syncs.
- Apple Watch or iPhone figures don't appear: that is deliberate. See the health data notice.
- Readiness, sleep score or skin temperature missing: Google Health doesn't share those, so NotiTrac can't show them.
Your data
There are no accounts and no server. Everything NotiTrac holds is on your iPhone. To change what it may read, open the Health app, tap your picture, then Apps, then NotiTrac. To delete everything, delete the app. The privacy policy has the detail.
What you need
- A Fitbit Air.
- An iPhone running a supported version of iOS, with Bluetooth on.
- The Google Health app, for your tracker's normal syncing, with sharing to Apple Health turned on if you want figures in NotiTrac.
- Apple's Shortcuts app, for alerts.
NotiTrac is for the Fitbit Air only. It is not a general fix for other Fitbit trackers.
