A NotiTrac guide for Fitbit Air and iPhone
Does the Fitbit Air work with an iPhone?
Yes. You set up and sync the Fitbit Air with the Google Health app on your iPhone, as you would on Android. What it doesn't do on any phone is notify you; on an iPhone, NotiTrac can add that.
What works on iPhone
- Setup, updates and syncing, all through the Google Health app.
- Steps, heart rate, sleep, readiness and the rest in Google Health.
- Sharing with Apple Health: steps, distance, active energy, heart rate and sleep, once you turn the switch on. Here is where it is.
- The Air's own alarms, set in Google Health, which vibrate on your wrist.
What it doesn't do
The Air has no screen and no notification feature, on iPhone or on Android. Calls and messages don't reach it on their own. More on why.
Adding a vibration on iPhone
NotiTrac, an independent iPhone app, makes your Air vibrate while a call rings, which is free, and when the apps you choose send a notification, which is part of NotiTrac Pro. It talks to your Air over Bluetooth and works alongside Google Health, not instead of it.
Before you buy
- Your iPhone needs to run the Google Health app; its App Store listing shows the iOS version it currently needs.
- NotiTrac needs iOS 27 or later.
- You'll keep Google Health installed: it is the only way to set up, update and sync the Air.
